Why Faith in a Tree
Faith in a Tree is a forum for women readers, writers, and viewers of books, stories, and film. Women of all work and learning disciplines are encouraged to respond to posted stories, review films, and submit their own work. Those who's area of work or study is seemingly un-related to the creative arts are especially encouraged to post. "Faith in a Tree" is a short story written by the late Grace Paley, a writer, a female, a social activist - not necessarily in this order and certainly not limited to these names.

there is something so heartbreaking about this story, her simple repetition of 'And then she died' and those snippets of memories, the incompletions the family was left with. Amazing Grace.
